How long have you been studying English?

I`ve been studing English for 10 years, since 1st grade. But last year I was living in GB. It`s a great shock!! They never use `true English`!! I`d to listen only for about a week, as it was impossible to understand somebody... :unsure:
And now teachers in my school tell me `your English is horrible`, `you`d better studied the alphabet` etc. Foreigners which come to our school like my language, but it makes no difference...
So, it`s not important HOW LONG you`ve been studing - it depends on the kind of English only...

I have been studying English for 6 years. :clever: I'm 13 now. I studied British form of English in Ukraine, but ever since I moved to the United States,( I lived here for 2 full years) I used American English. It's actually a bit easier for me. I read books, watch movies, speak...English. It was a bit hard for me at first, but now a speak really well, with almost no accent. ^_^ Now I even think in English. It scares me sometimes. I still want to keep Russian and Ukrainian customs part of my life though. It's very important to know who you are.

I began to learn English when I was the child. Now I`m 14, therefore I can say that I learn this language 10 years and I like it very much. But as well as each person ( I think so) I would like to improve it.

Hm, 13 years and now I speak it quite fluently. It's my job - to know English. :) The BEST accent is pure British. Sounds like a music to my ear, that's why I watch HP soooooo very often - for clearing up my ears from rapid American speech! ;-)

I studied English for 2 years and then I came to USA and started talking good like in 3 month !!

I haven't found the answer like "dunno" or "don't remember"!! Because I don't really remember myself STUDYING it, it just came itself... I always enjoyed "studying" it, and it soon became my favourite language... I'm just always trying to find someone to talk in english, someone, who knows ONLY english, so we can't say a word in.. Russian, for example :D
Anyway, at school I was always the best on it!
